Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato has reaffirmed that they will not return home until the rights for the Madheshis are secured in the new constitution. At a programme organized by Sadbhawana Party at its Party office at Thapa Gaun in the capital city on Saturday, Mahato said that the Federal Alliance will wage peaceful protest in more effective manner. The Federal Alliance, an alliance of 29 Madhesh-centric political parties, has been staging protest against the proposed delineation of the federal units. "We did not come to Kathmandu for the protest for the protest sake. We came to secure our rights," he reiterated, adding that the city-centric protest will made decisive one. Mahato, also former Minister, warned of stern protest across Tarai if their demands are not heeded. According to him, the government should consider declaring martyrs to those killed during the Terai agitation, providing compensation to the deceased families and scrapping the cases registered against the agitators if it wants to create an environment conducive for talks with them. Meanwhile, Madhesi Trade Union Federation associated with the Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal formally declared its association with the Sadbhawana Party. Union's President Paltan Thakur along with its office-bearers joined the Sadbhawana Party. The Union, with various 15 national associations under it, has 165,000 members, it was shared. RSS
